Tesla has opened a new 16-bay Supercharger station in Coffs Harbour NSW, just in time for the Christmas New Year rush and to help accommodate some of the now 100,000 EVs on the state’s roads.
The new 16-bay EV charging station is located at the Big Banana tourism facility along the Pacific Highway, and replaces a temporary 2-bay facility that was installed there a few years ago to ease the rush.
The new facility – with 300 kW chargers – is open to both Tesla EVs (at a 53c/kWh) and non-Tesla EVs (at 74c/kWh), and the original six-bay facility at the Coffs Harbour shopping centre is now also open to both Tesla and non-Tesla EVs.
There is also a new 15-bay facility at Moonee Beach just to the north (at 52c/kWh for Tesla drivers). It is also open to other EVs. There is also a new facility about to open in Cairns.
Tesla’s biggest Supercharger station is a 20-bay facility recently opened in Goulburn.
