Back in April this year, Teslaās Cybertruck made it to Australian shores and started a roadshow that began in Sydney. Four months later, there was a sighting of the Cybertruck in WA, confirming that the Cybertruck is on its way to Perth.
The latest sighting was first confirmed by Tesla Owners Club Western Australia (TOCWA) on X with photos showing the Cybertruck on the back of a vehicle transporter.
It was seen on the top deck of the truck outside a convenience store being trailed by TOCWA EV Adventure vehicles, which have been on a 10,810 km trip, raising money for the Variety Australia charity.
At the time of sighting, the Cybertruck was in the town of Southern Cross which is 370 km east of Perth.
Interestingly, according to Mark B, an avid reader of The Driven, Southern Cross also happens to be a location for a proposed Tesla Supercharger site as per the Tesla supercharger map.
The Cybertruck is landing in WA ahead of the opening of a new Tesla store in the state. The O’Connor store will have its grand opening on the 31st of August.
Teslaās first Cybertruck unit arrived in Australia in April with a āroad showā down under, that started in Sydney at the companyās Alexandria showroom.
Since then the Cybertruck has been to Canberra, Melbourne and most recently Hobart in Tasmania.
The news of the Cybertruck in WA comes only weeks after the company is now available for customers to order outside of the US, starting with Canada as Australian order holders patiently wait.
Itās still exciting for hundreds of Tesla owners and fans and Cybertruck order holders across the WA. The Cybertruckās arrival in the state will most certainly lead to more foot traffic in Tesla stores, encouraging more test drives of Australiaās best-selling EVs.
