An electric ski boat has been photographed charging at a fast charging station in Rochester, New York.
The image was posted on Reddit by Vital1024 who said they actually though someone was ICEing the charging station.
The all-electric boat appears to be a GS22E wakeboarding boat made by Ingenity Electric.
A representative from the company spotted the post on Reddit saying he was on a demo tour with the boat and took the opportunity to give the company a plug and invite people in the area for a demo.
Electric waterskiing and wakeboarding boats are still relatively new. However, without the loud noise and fumes from large petrol engine boats, it’s likely they’ll catch on quickly.
