BMW Australia has announced new incentives for home charging when customers purchase one of its selected electric SUVs.
On the purchase of a BMW iX3 and the iX xDrive40 models, a ‘Power Pack’ offer is available for Australian customers, which includes:
- Complimentary third-generation BMW Wallbox
- Six-year complimentary BMW Service Inclusive package
- $5,000 trade-in bonus
These new incentives are on top of what is currently available for BMW EV customers. The existing offering includes a five-year charging subscription to Chargefox as well as a five-year warranty with three years of roadside assistance.
For New Zealand customers, those that purchase a BMW iX3 or iX xDrive40 model, customers who take up the Power Pack offer and finance the vehicle through the BMW Full Circle plan, will receive $1,500 towards the installation of a BMW Wallbox and a $5,000 trade-in bonus.
The installation offer is now available since customers in New Zealand already receive a BMW Wallbox when purchasing BMW EVs.
According to BMW Australia, these new incentives are on offer to “boost the appeal” of these fully electric BMW models. For the first four months of 2022, fully electrified BMW models saw a doubling of registrations from 2022 levels.
The latest data from FCAI vFacts and that sourced by The Driven shows the BMW national registrations for the first four months sit at 567.
Of these, the BMW iX3 made up 201 units meanwhile the BMW iX accounted for 326 registrations.
BMW plans to grow this over the coming months with the launch of the iX1 which has just gone on sale in New Zealand.
It’s not too long before the iX1 arrives in Australia as well giving EV buyers more options. Last year, BMW announced the pricing of the new iX1 which started at $82,900 before on-roads costs. This model will be offered in two variants the xLine & M Sport.
The launch of the iX1 would bring new buyers to the brand along with help existing customers looking for a small SUV to be able to drive a cleaner variant than the ICE X1 on offer today.
