This week, Tesla broke ground at its new Corpus Christi lithium refinery which is set to be the largest in the world. Ā As we reported on Tuesday,Ā a Cybertruck with shovels on its back for the ceremony was bought in to kick things off.Ā
This time though, the vehicle looked more complete than in the previous sightings as various angles of the steel-exterior machine were seen.
The Lithium refinery ceremony was in Texas, where Tesla already operates its GigaTexas factory and where an Alpha-prototype production line for the Cybertruck has been established.

At the latest sighting, the large windscreen wiper was spotted once again at the front of the truck which is starting to enter the world of internet memes as well. Even Tesla got in on the fun by joking about the size of the wiper.
This sighting also revealed the rack mounted on the bed of the truck that was being used to carry shovels for the groundbreaking ceremony.
Itās the first time that Tesla has demonstrated an accessory for the Cybertruck after revealing the Cyberquad back at itās original unveiling many years ago.
Teslaās Senior Vice President of Powertrain and Energy Engineering, Drew Baglino, was there and mentioned that this rack was custom built for the ceremony. At the same time, he noted that Tesla is making a few accessories for the Cybertruck which will be revealed down the track.
Previously Teslaās CEO, Elon Musk, spoke of the uniqueness of the Cybetruck product while providing a tentative start of customer delivery timeline:
āWell I think we will save that for the Cybetruck handover which will hopefully be at the end of Q3 this year. One thing I can confidently say is that it is an incredible product, itās a hall of famer, I think. And a product like this only comes along once, once in a long while. People will not be disappointed in it at all, Itās amazingā
Cybertruckās production is getting closer with Tesla achieving another milestone to enable that. This was reaching a production run-rate of 5,000 Tesla Model Y per week out of Texas factory where the Cybertruck will also be produced.
With all signs pointing to production nearing for one of the most unique vehicles to hit the market in decades, itād be fascinating to see what other modifications and accessories Tesla is yet to reveal on it.Ā
Thatās before the aftermarket accessory world goes wild with designing hundreds of functional products on the back of it.
