Following increasing interest from Australian customers for the Polestar 2 electric fastback, test drives on the Gold Coast have opened up this week, with pre-orders already open ahead of deliveries due in the new year.
Orders opened in Australia for the Polestar 2 in late-November, requiring a nominal $500 fully refundable deposit. Test drive bookings in Australia “exceeded even our most ambitious estimates” according to Polestar CEO Samantha Johnson, “testament to the growing interest in electric vehicles locally, and the need for greater consumer choice in the market.”
In fact, by the first few days of December, 3,000 test drives had been booked with maybe as many pre-orders.
Those looking to experience a Polestar 2 living on or around the Gold Coast will now also be able to begin taking the car for a test drive, after five new Polestar Specialists were trained up over the weekend and test drives began this week.
The Polestar team of test drivers and the Polestar 2 will be at the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Broadbeach until January 16, with a few test drive spots still available for anyone in the area or anyone visiting.
For those unable to sign up for a test drive, The Driven’s own Bridie Schmidt and Giles Parkinson have both reviewed the Polestar 2.
