Tesla has increased the pricing of its top-spec tri-motor Cyberbeast Cybertruck to almost $A180,000 as part of a Luxe Package, which incorporates the company’s full-self-driving (FSD) supervised software, lifetime supercharging and a few more additions.
Pricing of the Cyberbeast variant increased up to $US114,990, up from $US99,990, a shift of $US15,000. This equates to just over $A178,900 with the current exchange rate, making it on par with Tesla’s most expensive car the company sells today.
The new Luxe Package brings mainly software and subscription addons to the Cyberbeast variant and includes:
This could entice some buyers to buy this variant, and Tesla seems to be offering this across the Model S and Model X vehicles in the US as well.
According to Tesla’s website, the Cyberbeast comes with almost 5 tonnes of towing and can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
Thanks to its 122.4 kWh battery pack, it can deliver up to 547 km of range on a single charge while weighing just over 3.1-tonnes.
The front has a large 18.5-inch screen, while the rear, like the current Model 3 and Model Y, has a smaller screen too. With the Cybertruck, it’s slightly larger, coming in at 9.4 inches.
Originally, Tesla launched the Cybertruck with the tri-motor Cyberbeast configuration, followed by the dual-motor variant when the supply finally caught up with the demand.
Then earlier this year, Tesla finally released its cheapest single motor Cybertruck with prices starting at under $A100,000.
Soon after, the company started cutting prices on the inventory held with discounts of up to $A16,000 off the inventory of non-Foundation series vehicles that were built in 2024, and over $A15,000 for Foundation series models.
To sweeten the deal further, buyers of the Cybertrucks received free supercharging for life, which is also bundled in the Luxe Package with the latest offering.
This bundled approach could entice some buyers to make the switch to the Cybertruck and could also point at a FSD/Charging bundled offer coming to other models like the Model 3 and Model Y in the future. Time will tell.
