American automaker Ram Trucks has teased the upcoming unveiling of its Ram 1500 Revolution battery electric vehicle (BEV) concept, which is due to have its covers lifted in early January.

Ram Trucks – the American brand of utes and commercial vehicles, and a division of Stellantis – posted a video Wednesday teasing the design of its upcoming Ram 1500 ‘Revolution’ BEV.

While the video is a hyperbolic marketing pitch focused solely on the design of a future Ram electric truck, it nevertheless gives us a good idea of the direction Ram is heading.

With a focus on sustainable manufacturing and aiming to deliver a “Ram Revolution” that “should give people goosebumps”, the video displays a clay sculpted ute that nevertheless appears to reflect the basics of what we would expect.

The wraps will be lifted on the Ram 1500 Revolution in early January, during a keynote address to be delivered by Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

In addition to the unveiling of the Ram 1500 Revolution, Tavares will also lift the lid on the Peugeot Inception Concept.

All of which delivers on Stellantis’ promise to “embrace a new mindset” which is targeting 100% EV sales in Europe and 50% EV sales in the US by 2030.

We don’t know a lot about the specifics of the Ram 1500, Ram Trucks CEO Mike Koval Jr. told the Detroit Free Press in September that the baseline expectation for any Ram electric ute would be to offer a range of about 300 to 350 miles (480 to 560 kilometres).
